Overview
Hakuba Iwatake is a uniquely laid-out resort with 26 courses spread across its broad, gently rounded summit plateau. Unlike most Hakuba resorts that sit along the main range, Iwatake stands as an independent mountain directly facing the Northern Alps, providing arguably the best panoramic views in the entire valley. The resort is home to HAKUBA MOUNTAIN HARBOR, a stunning observation terrace and cafe perched at the summit.
The terrain at Iwatake is wonderfully varied, with wide groomed cruisers, natural terrain features, and excellent tree skiing zones. The resort has invested heavily in becoming a year-round mountain destination, and its relaxed atmosphere makes it a favorite among families and intermediate skiers looking to enjoy the mountain at a comfortable pace. The village-side base area offers convenient access to Hakuba's dining and accommodation options.
